How to play

Two shapes are revealed. You pick one and place it on your board. Then two more. And two more…

1

Pick one of two

Each round two shapes are revealed — pick one and place it anywhere on your board. Shapes can be rotated and flipped.

2

One more chance

If neither shape fits, take one more chance: an extra shape just for you.

3

Who wins

Fewest empty cells wins. A perfect board is the ultimate goal!

All the rules
1

Fill your board

Everyone has a 9×9 board. The goal is to leave as few empty cells as possible.

2

Starting shape

Each player gets a random starting shape and draws it so that it covers the center dot.

3

Pick one of two

Every round two shapes are revealed. Each player picks one of them and places it anywhere on their own board. Shapes can be rotated and flipped and don't have to touch other shapes.

4

The shapes

The game has 40 shapes of 1 to 7 cells, plus 10 starting shapes of 8 cells. The “All shapes” button shows them all; with “Mark played shapes” (Premium) on, it also shows which ones have already been played.

5

One more chance

If neither shape fits, you take one more chance: one more shape just for you. If it fits, place it and keep playing. If it doesn't, you are out — but your board still counts. Playing alone and in the daily challenge, you get one chance per game.

6

Chances with friends

Before a game with friends, choose how many chances each player gets.

0: if neither shape fits, you are out at once.

1, 2 or 3: if a chance shape doesn't fit, you take the next one while chances are left.

∞, the classic rule: a chance every time neither shape fits, but if the chance shape doesn't fit, you are out.

Without Premium: 1.

7

End of the game

The game ends when fewer than two shapes are left for a new round, when everyone is out, or at once when someone fills their whole board.

8

Who wins

Fewest empty cells wins. On a tie, alone and in the daily challenge the faster game wins (the clock runs only while the game is on screen); with friends time doesn't count. Then whoever used fewer shapes, not counting the starting one. If that is equal too, the win is shared.

9

Playing together

One phone: pass it around — each player takes their turn on their own board with the same two shapes.

Several phones: Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi, no internet needed, everyone moves at the same time.

Up to 6 players; without Premium, 2 (on several phones, it depends on who creates the game).

Whoever leaves or stays disconnected too long is out, but their board still counts; if the game's creator leaves, the game ends for everyone.

10

Turn time

With friends you can limit each move to 30, 60 or 90 seconds (with Premium). When time runs out, the move is made for you: the chosen shape goes where it stands or into the first free spot, and if nothing fits, a chance is taken.

11

Daily challenge

One game a day, with the same shapes for everyone. One chance, and time counts. Play every day to keep your streak going. Past challenges can be replayed in the archive for golden cubes; they don't count toward the streak.

Each round two shapes are revealed. Pick one and place it anywhere on your 9×9 board. Fewest empty cells wins. Full rules: tap “?” in the game.

What is “one more chance”?

If neither shape fits, you get one more shape just for yourself. Playing alone you get it once per game; with friends you choose how many in the game rules.

What is the Daily Challenge?

Every day everyone in the world plays the same shapes. Only your first attempt of the day counts for your streak.

The nearby game doesn't find my friends

Turn on Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi on all devices (no internet needed), keep them close and allow local network access: Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → One More Chance. Everyone needs the latest version of the game.

How do I add a friend?

Open Friends: “Invite a friend” sends a link (the friend opens it and you become friends at once), or find a player by name with “Find a player”.

How do I delete my data from the server?

Settings → Your data on the server → Delete my data. Your name for friends, friends, requests and challenges are deleted at once; games, records and golden cubes on the device stay. No longer have the game? Write to onemorechance.game@gmail.com with your name for friends and its number (#1234) — we will delete everything within 30 days.

How do I change my name?

Tap your name on the home screen to open Profile, and type a new name in “Your name”.

How do I change the language?

The game uses your device's language. To pick another language just for the game: Settings → One More Chance → Language.

My statistics disappeared

Statistics are stored only on the device, so deleting the game deletes them.

Easy to learn, hard to put down. Just one more game?
